OUR FUNDING MODEL

Our funding model is an existing one where British Petroleum (BP) committed 6.2 million dollars to fund the Chicago Urban League’s projectNEXT which is a community based, community specific, community economic development plan similar to our’s. In addition, like The Kinte Center, Cheryl Jackson, president of the Chicago Urban League declared projectNEXT effort to be exclusively community economic development.

The Kinte Center and Chicago Urban League seem to have in common the notion that it is time now, for solutions at the community level. Ms. Jackson refers to the Chicago Urban League’s projectNEXT as a final solution; we refer to ours’ as a comprehensive, researched based, community specific Community Economic Development Plan.
