The
Kinte Center has investigated and sized up the mechanics of setting the
Residential Database in place pending adoption of the proposed Community
Development and Community Economic Development Plans. The database will
contain pertinent information for every household in the proposed CityEast
community (55th Avenue East to the Oakland-San Leandro border) with a
listed telephone number (click on Figure 1).

| Successful community building will depend heavily on the level of support from the residents of the community. The Residential Database will enable direct contact (written and telephone) with the residents of the community to gain their support for the effort and to keep them abreast of progress. This database is an especially valuable tool for the merchants in the community for direct marketing purposes.
